CHRISTOPHE LAUDAMIEL

Christophe Laudamiel is the first scent sculptor to move from the realm of avant-garde perfumer to that of an internationally recognized artist pioneering the new developments of scent as the next frontier in the contemporary art arena.

His seminal first work premiered at both New York and Bibao Guggenheim with the first ever ScentOpera, which placed him as a leader in the field of scent sculpture. Having created projects for the Davos World Economic Forum and the Royal Botanical Gardens, he is widely regarded as the leading protagonist in this art form. His sculptures have been exhibited at the Dillon Gallery since December 2010 and his first solo exhibition is scheduled at the Dillon Gallery for January 2012.

He is widely known for his contributions to the study and science of scent and collaborates with academia developing new patents and technologies. His work is catalogued in both Harvard and Columbia and he has presented at the Royal College of Art and University of Arts in Berlin. He is also the creator or co-creator of many of the world's most renowned perfumes.
